i got an old savage 30-06, not many setups will shoot groups with it shooting factory ammo. if i had a reliable source of handloads it sure nuff be hard to beat. and despite popular belief, a savage trigger is near about the easiest in the world to lighten up ( at least the pre accu trigger)

use an empty snuff can and avoid being made fun of.... i use one with fresh cards and one to put the full ones. not to mention the one with whats supposed to be in a snuff can

i did this to an old 14 36 and it was the best thing i ever did for it!! i got ped seating in multple spots so we can get right in the boat while hunting and everybody but me has leg room (lol)

I started using the Med ALICE pack with frame, last year, it will haul more than you want it too!! i put waders, calls shells drinks etc etc etc etc etc in it. it beats the heck outta walking a mile in waders and you can strap everything in the world too it thay wont fit in it
