Re: Game Camera's ?

Anyone have the ones that are all connected and email you? It may be the Moultrie game management system. Anyone think it's worth it if you can't get out there for long periods of time? I've got some covert code blacks that will email and/or text you. They work great WHERE YOU HAVE ENOUGH SIGNAL. C...

I got a bunch of moultrie 990's this year and I really like them. I've also got ltl acorns, Uways, coverts, and some old homebrews. Covert is right there with moultrie on my list.

We've got promatic traps in the skeet and trap fields. So far so good.

Re: Cellular Trail Cams

Matt, I'm getting so many from mine that I had to change from the $10/1000 plan to the $20/ unlimited plan on two cameras. Both are transmitting with 2 bars of coverage and that's with the booster antenna on both.

Re: How much of your hunter dollars go toward conservation?

Give'em Hell Rob. Here is another point. The Audobon Society has recognized that the Mississippi valley, particularly the batture, is THE most significant habitat for neotropical birds in North America. I'd like to read more about this. Do you have a link, by chance? What I saw was at a MRLA meetin...

Re: Cellular Trail Cams

Pretty sure 2 bars minimum. Yes on the antenna. I have one for each camera and it is the difference in working or not but I still can't put them anywhere I want to even with the booster.

Unless it rains within 36 hours of putting it out, I haven't had any trouble with mine getting wet :D

Re: Cell phone signal boosters.....

The guy I hunt turkeys with in Kansas has one at his camp. It is amazing. Outside the camp, it's 1 bar at best. Inside its 4. I think his is a Wilson but I'm not sure.

Re: Cellular Trail Cams

Covert is the brand I have but many brands have them. Buy the cam, program it, go to AT&T and get a go phone SIM card and get the 1000 texts per month ($10/month) package and you are in business. But I can't stress enough that you have to be able to get a signal where you want to use it. Here is...

Re: Cellular Trail Cams

I've got some covert code blacks. They work well if you have sufficient cell signal (either AT&T or tmobile). To get a pic to transmit, you have to set the size fairly small but you can tell what you've got and it stores a full size image on the sd card as well. The key is having enough cell sig...

Re: New Gun

If you can find one, the rem 700 titanium (older model) is super. Very light and very accurate. I've read that they were actually built in the custom shop. Definitely way above the standard 700's.
