Try using a diamond hone. It has "diamond dust" embedded in the hone. I keep my knife sharp by also hitting it a few times while in the process of cleaning the deer. Don't let it get dull, it takes that much longer to get a good edge on it.

I initially started this post. Is was suggested by someone to check wiley sports. Found out today thats a nogo. they are out of stock. Called Gorilla and they do not sell their seats seperately. As an afterthought I called Rebel archery and they had 4 seats for the Grand's left. Now they have 3. If ...

I don't believe you would go wrong with a 7mm08. Little more bullet weight than the 243 and really low recoil. I have been shooting one for several years now and have outfitted my nephew with one. He is 11 and pretty small framed, but he has killed several deer already. If you get one, try the 120gr...

Yeah I've bben shooting that same gun since 1996. I have not had to shoot more than once, and have only missed with it once. Probably killed around 35 deer with it. It doesn't tear the meat up too bad and most of the bullets are found underneath the hide on the opposite side. Was kinda skeptical on ...

Have you cosidered the Rem model 7 youth? You can purchase an adult factory stock for about 70 bucks. 7mm08 with the 120 factory remington load is absolutely awsome!

Banded Ducks

Went to Mack's a couple of years ago. Right beside Mack's is a call manufactoring business (I forgot the name) anyway, they have a duck pond in there front and I pulled over to look at the mallards and pintails sitting there. When I stopped a Drake that looked bigger than a chicken sttod up and wadd...
