Re: Out of state hunters
You know, when I first started hunting in the delta in the early 1990's, all the out of state tags were from South Carolina and Tenn. I always wondered why the heck anyone would drive from SC to hunt at "your local WMA." Then, over the years, the TN and SC tags slowly changed to AL and GA....

Re: Out of state hunters
I was explaining to my buddy riding with me, that when we pass these trucks I will bet most if not all of them are from the coast. Well out of the 12 trucks we saw a couple (2) had specialty plates, but all the rest had either. Harrison, Hancock, George, Pearl River, or Stone county plates. . Check...

Re: Fratstar or not?
The "mountain climbing/hiking gear" analysis is spot on. Or was in the 1990's. I have a black Patagonia puffball I wore out from duck hunting with it for 15 years. Are the Fratstars on a Filson kick yet? Hope I can still keep some "fudd cred" with my ratty old Filson sweaters, an...

Re: Food Rations while hunting
I feed heavier the night before a hunt, as it takes many hours for a dog to turn that food into energy.

Re: AR Hole Argument
I heard quite a bit about this yesterday, but did NOT hear about guns getting pulled. That is a line you generally don't cross, no matter what your zip code may be. Did hear that those boys were pretty "pricktastic."

I still think the best is a Sportstand, but they are hard to find anymore. Next is the MoMarsh. Last is the Avery.

Re: Cutdown?
I don't find anything sounds like a cut Olt except a cut Olt. Whether you think the cut Olt is really a magic flute is a different thread. There are a few "cutdown style" calls that are close, like an "in person" Mondo tuned by Jimbo. I got curious several years ago and have Olts...

UTV Mechanic in Clarksdale Area
Can anyone give me the name/number of an honest and fairly efficient mechanic to work on a UTV (Honda) in Clarksdale area? I think I let mine sit too long without cranking 'cause life got complicated the last half-year.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Until you collar condition him, you have to make it fun. Call my cell and I can give you a "fun drill" I have used with a few different dogs to work on that if he is food/praise motivated. Too lazy to type a lot today.

It was great to see everyone that weekend. That was probably Ellie Mae Dogg's last road trip. She would still be out there if she could. Thanks to everyone that supported the Club.

Re: American or British
Odis: I am sorry about your loss. I am about to lose my "heart dog" as well. PM me if you want some litter suggestions. This "British vs. American" brand label thing needs to quietly fade away. Its mostly someone protecting his "market" that all the generalizations that...
