Thanks for the info Jwayne....we have no bedding areas ...all hardwood along line creek....no pines....I do have some sage fields with a few little cedar thickets in the hills but, the sage fields are between the hills and the hardwood bottom and they used to come across the fields to the bottoms ...

Jwayne....you have any luck hunting hardwoods this year? We've got 200 acres of hardwoods and hardly ever seen a buck in it and we plant several food plots also....what are your hunting set-ups where you hunt? Cutover...food plots....hardwoods....etc?? Thanks.

I don't duck hunt but, I saw several this year....they were there all in the sloughs...mallards and wood duck....weren't many though. Best friend duck hunts and has tried to get me to go.....can't get fired up over birds...lol ...
