Re: Anybody heard of a big buck taken on ***** yesterday a.m
I just spent a few days at Panther and can tell you that between the hogs and the coasties, that place is DONE. Saw around 10 bucks in the back of trucks and not one would break 110" all were 2 year old deer. I read some of the jaw bone tags and 130lb to 150lb bucks were being killed by the the ...

Re: Custom Rifles
If you don't handload, your wasting your money with a full custom. I would suggest getting you a Remington 5r in 308 and try several types of ammo until you find one that shoots good. If you do decide on a custom rifle, use someone in Ms so if something goes wrong or needs teeaking you can take it ...

Re: Ballistic tips for big game
The only thing ballistic tips are good for is load work up so you don't waste the accubonds. Work up your load with the b tip then insert the accubond for hunting.

Re: New Rifle, 308 vs 270
Like others have said, you need a magnum. I'd go with a 300 wsm and shoot 180 accubonds. Youve got everything else covered.

Re: Giles Island BEAST...
I used to work at the place that joins Giles. The biggest deer ever killed on that place was in the 180's, most are 140's, and it is managed just like Giles, food plots and all. Giles continues to put out 180+ deer every year, there is truly something special about that place

D@mn, I just noticed how tall the brow tines were too. In the pics you texted me, I could tell the 2s, 3s, and beams were long, but I overlooked the brows!
Yea P, it takes a hell of allot of bone for an 8 point to make 155". 8) I'll teach you how to kill them big boys one day when you get tired ...
