A real answer to your question is as of last week it was dead in the area. Very few ducks and the ones that were there were VERY scattered. You can't get a straight answer form anyone on here so maybe just ask your buddy you are going with.

ever had this bad of a start to a season. I can't believe the lack on numbers in areas that no matter what normally have ducks all over them this time of the year. Maybe the big snow norht of us will send some on down?

I out my certificates from banded ducks in a frame and put the tail feathers as a border to the frame on the inside. If you can find an old rustic looking frame that is the length of a tail feather to big and then fill in the space with the feathers it is pretty neat looking.

I was the "lab" for these hunts and let me tell you it was unbelievable. At first light on Sunday they didnt have time to reload their guns. The sky was swarming. Dawg do I know you send me a pm. I grew up there and still hunt the area just curious to see who you are.

I have but just a few.

1) If you can hunt in shorts and a short sleeve shirt it's to hot.
2) NEVER NEVER say GOOD SHOT. That duck WILL be banded.
3) My 15 year old son has made the change from smart to a FREAKIN GENIOUS. Just ask him.
4) You will not get to hunt as much when you have a new born at ...
