NEW LICENSE COMMENTS

I'll try to explain this the best that I can.
There are many reasons the State of Mississippi has gone to this type of license. Here's a few.

The biggest reason is MONEY:

With the old license program the agents were taking a big risk in selling license. If they misplaced or lost a license book ...

What do you think the turkey season dates should be

Just thought I would give you the reason why turkey season starts later this year. Mississippi law states that the Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks Commission shall fix the spring season between the Saturday nearest March 20 and May 1 in designated areas. So, by law we're getting all we can ...

Registering a boat

You will also need a bill of sale. For anyone that doesn't live near Jackson go by your MDWF&P district office or some boat dealers have the boat registration forms.

If the boat doesn't have a hull number or serial number on it you need to get up with your local Conservation Officer to inspect the ...

Is it legal??

Booger

Let me apologize for some of the laws that "suck". Laws are not made for the good hunters. Laws are for the bad hunters. Believe it or not, game wardens catch a lot of people every year "trying to skirt the law to shoot a deer". I understand about the snake pistol. If you allow a pistol ...

Under the definition of primitive weapon for deer it says, that the primitive weapon must be greater than a 38 cal. Therefore, you would need to hunt squirrels with a primitive weapon smaller than the 38 cal.

I would think that you where okay.

My first suggestion would be to contact the county officer(s) in Tennessee and Mississippi that you travel through. This contact with the officer(s) will show your concern with this problem. You could run into a situation where a Mississippi season was open and ...

Explain this to me? Selling deer mounts!

Stano

It's illegal in Mississippi. Here's the law:

SEC. 49-7-51. Sale of game birds, animals or fish.

It is unlawful for any person to buy or sell or to offer for sale, exchange for merchandise, or other consideration, within this state, any game birds, game animals, or game fish, or parts ...

Baldpate and Ringbill are correct in their post under "Be careful Greenhead". If you hunt in Arkansas for 5 days and return to Ms. you can only have the possession limit with you.

Sec. 20.33 of 50 cfr defines Possession limit as:

No person shall possess more migratory game birds taken ...

Greenhead22,

I've read all of your recent post on possession laws. Here is what the federal law says about the daily bag limit:

TITLE 50--WILDLIFE AND FISHERIES
CHAPTER I--UNITED STATES FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE, DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR
PART 20--MIGRATORY BIRD HUNTING--Table of Contents ...
