As far as seeing and killing birds it hasn't been good at all since opening weekend. The birds that I am seeing don't even look at decoys or care what you do with a call. The only plus is that no one has been hurt that I hunt with so far. Combining all those factors I would give it a 4.

It is sad to hear about stuff like this, I don't like someone being at the spot that I want to hunt anymore than the next guy but I am not going to let the air out of his tires because of it. I have hunted the Scatters one time this year and the water was so low we didn't have any luck so I haven't ...

I have hunted in Southern IL and know that there is a law that says the outer edge of my decoy spread must be 100 yds from the edge of your decoy spread and that the blinds must be 125 yds, I think, apart. I think that this is a good rule, but I have never seen it enforced. I have had a guy set up ...

I started out buying the cheapest, err most ECONOMICAL, stuff I could get my hands on and continued to use that stuff until it was used up and could no longer be repaired. As money has allowed I have replaced wornout gear with what I would consider a little better quality and might last a little ...

I guess that I have reached the point that I would rather go with friends and see a few birds, have some opportunities, watch the dog work a little to me that is what it is all about. I really enjoy watching the dog work which means you have to take a few birds for that to happen. The dog and I both ...

Delta Duck I agree with you on the point that if the kids don't want to learn, then they are not going to learn. I don't know what it would take to overcome the attitude of some of these families in the Delta that think that since "I did graduate high school, my kid doesn't need to either". I think ...
