Re: Spring River, Ark.?
Duke try the Dam #3 access. There is a channel around the point and back to the right that gets you away from the canoe traffic. I have caught some nice rainbows there. There may not be huge trout but overall the rainbows may average larger than some of the tail waters. You might even catch an ...

Re: Need help locating CHEAP fly rod
Deltaduckman I hope you are going as far up as Gastons. Anything down stream of there is in pretty bad shape and going to get worse tonight. The docks around Calico Rock were lost in the last storm and I understood that they evacuated the folks around Norfork today. I would hate to mess up your trip ...

Re: Buying some land (need some advice)
I am not actively involved in real estate right now but something that was beaten into our heads time and time again are the initials CYA. It stands for "Cover Your A_ _!" It is the best advice I can give.

I worked for my father in construction starting in the summer after the seventh grade. By the time I got into high school football I had gotten in such great shape practice was a snap and the money came in handy too. I loved it.

Duck_nutt no one is laughing. I'm glad there are some who don't know this guy. He is a disgrace. The city of Memphis was once one of the grand old cities of the South but no longer. It has one of the highest criminal and murder rates in the country. Its political system is infested with rats and the ...

Re: San Francisco
I went to the San Francisco area back in the early 1980's with a group of men from the Mississippi Baptist Brotherhood. Floods and land slides had hit that area doing quite a bit of damage. We repaired houses, churches, and did a bit of clean up and dirt work. The group I was placed with was sent to ...

Sipsey check the Mississippi Market Bulletin. I believe they are online. Not to get you off subject but do you fish the Sipsey River below Lewis Smith? If so how is it? I've been wanting to try it.

Re: White River
Dawgma, If you are going to the White let me recomend a place for you to check out while you are there. Its Gastons Resort located about three miles below Bull Shoals dam. If you have never stayed there it would be well worth your while to check it out. It is one of the top trout resorts in the ...

Re: Little Red River
Feedcall the Little Red is an excellent trout stream. It was a little harder for me to learn how to fish than the White but once you catch on it is great. My most consistent place to catch fish is down below the Swinging Bridge Resort. There used to be a swinging bridge across the river there that ...

Re: What do you fish for?
We have small lakes on our land and they are stocked with the usual bass, bream, and catfish. I fish for all of them because it is handy. I enjoy going to Sardis for crappie. My passion is trout fishing. I usually go to the White River in Arkansas at least once a year, more if possible. I have ...
