I knew somebody who did three repeat breedings (all three had large number of pups) of a pair of dogs before several in the last litter had diagnosed cases of Muscle Myopathy (the old school name for CNM.) Thank goodness for the new technology and DNA Testing!
That EIC test should be out soon, right?

Re: My old boy produced a fox red pup
Definately a fox red one there and the other two will most likely darken as they get older....or at least that is my prediction. From our experience the fox red shade of yellow has to come from both sides and they don't have to be British.
Pretty pups.....all of them.

Re: Another case of Heartworms
Is he a jumper? If so I think I'd play it safe and keep him inside in a crate. After the heart worms die the begin to break apart and travel through the blood system to be eliminated just as any other type of waste matter. If the dogs get overly excited and active, a fragment could travel to their l...

Man, you guys are having a time of it! A dog from Dallas that just got his Grand title was finishing up his 2nd treatment for heart worms. He was scheduled to go home earlier this week. As he was taken out of his kennel in the vet's office he coughed up a blood clot and died. Please be careful with ...

I don't think that vicariously enjoying "whatever" with Angelina Jolie is exactly resting.....but it is good to know you are getting your share of entertainment. I do know for a fact that when Dave's heart rate spiked for the last time at around 5:30 in the morning, he was being helped int...

Re: prayer for Goosebruce
Travis, Glad to see you are going to be ok. We all get wake up calls in life. Sounds like you were fortunate in getting yours when you did. Dave had knee surgery Wednesday morning last week to fix a torn meniscus. Was supposed to be out patient....but he spent 2 nights there because his heart spiked...

Re: **Hot weather warning**Your dog's health**
Sounds like whatever it was you were lucky. If it was heat exhaustion, the dog will be more likely to feel the effects of heat sooner going forward. I was a heat exhaustion victim many years ago. It was nearly heat stroke. after that I couldn't take the heat much at all before I would begin to get d...
