I just wanted to see if there are any opinions of force fetching a dog as old as one year? He is a lab and retrieves well but it is by no means to hand. I am interested in having a pro do this but I just wanted to know if you felt at one year old this May that it would be too late?
Thanks.

I am by no means a gator expert but I did have the same concern with my dog. I live at the Reservoir and often train my dog in the Pelahatchie Bay area. We had a lab killed last year by a VERY large gator. I was told that a gator instinctively knows NOT to eat when it's body temperature drops below ...

Drake Waterfowl Gear???
Just curious if any of you have used Drake gear and if you have been impressed and pleased with it. From the looks of it, they seem to be more expensive than some other brands but I have heard some say they are well worth the money. Also, I know they offer a early, mid, and late season lineup of gea...

Just curious if the training day went down or down the tube? I saw where it was cancelled then checked back later today and saw where it was still a possibility but it was dark at that time. DIB, do you feel willing to try this another time? Just curious as I have a lab in serious need of training w...

Well he may be 8 months but that doesnt mean we have been training that long. We did a little while he was a wee pup and then life happened and we have just started back about a month or so ago. LONG way to go! I've been told he is ready for force fetch but I have never done it and don't want to rui...

Crate training an older dog
I have a 9 month old chocolate lab. He has never been in a crate and I have spoken with several people that say this is allowing too much freedom for the dog. I am interested in crate training him for riding in the back of our SUV. He rode back there unrestricted and almost chewed through the seatbe...

I actually sent out two emails today from the trainer list on the sticky. Both came back undeliverable as they were not valid email addresses? I will keep trying. I live close to Blue Ribbon Kennels. I saw where a previews response was extremely negative about them. Does anyone else have an opinion ...
