Re: Back from Argentina

I was fortunate to accompany Jeff and DR2 to Jacana this year. Jeff is absolutely right in that the operation there at Jacana is superbly orchestrated. Hard as it is to believe, everything was always on time and perfect. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the trip. I will definitely be back ...

pntailhntr,

You're right, it is tough to get a good blind setup on a v hull or the like. The beam on my boat is 60" and to make an appropriately high blind that stays within the profile of the boat is tough. The first attempt i made, the frame was too narrow when raised to make for easy standing ...

Me too!

This morning I lost a decoy bag somewhere along I-70 or I-435 south (west side of KC). It had about a dozen goose floater decoys. If you see it, I wouldn't blame you for keepin it.

Ramsey,

That probably won't be the boat you and I hunt out of next season. I have two new boats to work on this summer. One of them is kinda a top secret design that I can't share just yet, but you'll understand why when you see it. I promise that it will be unlike any duckboat out there, no ...

Delta,

I'll admit that I am starting a new site...I mean it is painfully obcious. However, I genuinely want people's opinions on my boat. Not only about how it looks, but function and materials selection, ingenuity, etc. I also wanted to share what I learned with others in a more effective way ...

The sides are a tarp that I stretched loosely from the top of the rails and pop riveted (with a backer) to the gunwales to keep the wind out. I left enough slack to allow for the grass to cradle in it when the rails are folded down. It also helps protect the grass when runnin down the highway.

Nope, no beer holders...that's for next season's blind.

Our season has been pretty good...seems like the warm weather made the ducks hold up here. Alot of the managed areas in MO reported record seasons for totals and averages. I will admit that the warm weather made it pretty tough to get birds ...

Thanks for the compliments. I can hunt three pretty comfortably in it with a man sitting on the front deck with a dog. More than that and it's too close for comfort.

I used Real-Grass because i got it on sale for half price (Cabela's bargain cave). However, that rips at the drop of a hat. I'll re ...

Checkout my duckboat

hey all, i know this is my first post on here...I'd like to get people's opinions on my duckboat. I know alot of ducks have been shot out of her this season, but I'm always up for constructive criticism. I will say that the boat is an antique. It's an old richline with a 61 johnson...even an antique ...
