Re: Rising river
Just wondering what effect all of this water would have on duck hunting. Will the ducks be spread out over a much larger area or shall they remain true to the proven areas they have used so far?

Rising river
Looks as if the quickly rising Mississippi River will shutdown deer season north of 49 Highway and west of #1 on or about Jan 1. Pretty quickly the rest of the behind the levee hunting in Mississippi will be shutdown as well except for duck hunting. Wondering how the high water is going to affect du...

Re: My dog's feet are sore
As Brett said, one that constantly paces the kennel is very tough to stop. I have seen some extremely talented good dogs pace to the point that they wore the pads of their feet down to being raw. The only effective method I have seen in dealing with one is to keep in a vari kennel so the dog did not...

Re: Wanting to can some salsa
I will put up between 36 and 48 pints of salsa a year. I use fresh tomatoes, onion, jalapeno pepper and carrots in my salsa. I always use a hot water bath for canning. I have never lost one pint due to spoilage and I make enough to last us for 12 months. The only danger with hot water bath canning i...

Never forget ole Duck Chaser and Rusty in a Finished test at East Arkansas HRC. One really tight Finished blind. Rusty did it in style and there was one really happy handler at the ribbon ceremony. Go easy big boy.

Re: West MS HRC Mahannah Test
So, if you guys won't respect your elders then I gotta show you how to respect your betters. Splash em thinks just because he spent $500 on this fancy choke chain lead it should be alright to use coming to the line. Beginning to feel like Gary Cooper in the movie "High Noon". One man stand...

Re: West MS HRC Mahannah Test
Just instituted a new policy. It will now be legal to put and use an e collar on any handler caught at the hunt test using a choke chain. It does not matter if the handler is wearing camo thong underwear or not.

Re: West MS HRC Mahannah Test
One area that I don't need any help is getting in trouble. I can get in PLENTY of trouble all by myself. I can guarantee one thing, wtih Ronnie everyone will have fun, unless he takes the bird away from one of the retrievers. Then it could, and has, get messy.
