The reason he told you to bring the big gun is because in Canada the natives can hunt without a license almost anywhere year round

Don't know any guides in Canada who will take a guy for moose for under 3000 and 750 for 5 days really seems out of place to me.

I would do a little more checking on the outfit if I were you.

while I don't guide in Sask. I do know NR can't hunt till after Sept. 17th in the southern region.

A bud of mine runs an outfit north of Kindersley in the west part of the province. Early oct. is the best time to go.

Don't know what kind of terrain you are driving in, but in Alberta on an SUV the best tire you can use is the Goodyear Wrangler.

Next to that is the Michelen, but they Michelin won't clear the mud out as good as the Wrangler.
