Re: 180 class
Obviously I am not a biologist, and I am sure that many of you have much more knowledge in deer/herd management than I do. That’s why I like this conversation. I have had the opportunity to hunt a farm that is 5k+ acres and has been on a QDMA management program for a while. This farm has had the ...

Re: 180 class
Shooting culls is much more than removing a mouth from a heard. It is removing the genetics from the heard. That 4.5yr old 6 point with no brow tines is going to whip the 2.5yr old perfect 10 all day long when it comes to breeding. Simple fact. When it comes to doe…no I don’t know if the deer has ...

Re: 180 class
Food, genetics, and food. I don't care if you have a 100 acre weekend farm or 10000 acres inside the levee, learning how to manage your culls, doe and food sources make all the difference in the world in terms of deer you will harvest in the future. We put together a cull hit list this year and ...

Water, water, and more water
North delta looks like the LA marsh. Our brake has an additional 2 feet of water since Sunday. 4 man limits on Sat and Sun turned in to 2 gaddies at first light this a.m. Looks like I will be breaking out the .35 whelen in the morning.

Re: Binocular suggestion
Look at the Vortex Diamondback. I purchased a pair of the 10X42 this year and have been very impressed. I had a pair of steiner's that i loved before a "neighbor" decided to take look around in my truck one night. Couldn't afford the high dollar glasees this year so i did my research and landed on ...

Re: Ask DS: Transmission guy
Do yourself a favor and buy a used transmission that is already in good order. You can get one for $400-$600 and pay about $200 to have it installed. I just had a transmission rebuilt for my truck and it lasted all of 5 months before it started leaking transmission fluid and slipping again. Guy "did ...

Re: Need Help...Info on Memphis Veterinary Specialist
DM,
I literally just went through this with my Chesapeake. He is 8.5yrs old and had a tumor removed from his lower jaw that tested positive for malignant melanoma. We did additional aspirate tests, chest x-rays, tissue samples, etc. It has been about a 3 week process. The next step for us was going ...

Re: Lipoma???
The good news is the spot on the chest was a fatty cyst. Bad new is my doctor found a growth in the dog's mouth. He cut out the spot and sent it in for biopsy. Test came back positive for malignant melanoma. I took the meathead in yesterday to have some more tissue removed for additional testing ...

Re: Lipoma???
I greatly appreciate all the feedback. I have had an incredible 9 years with the meathead with no problems, so finding this lump kind of rattled me. I have called the breeder, researched, internet diagnosed no telling how many times, and worn myself out trying to figure out what it could be. My vet ...

Re: Lipoma???
the more i look at it, the more worried i am getting. the lump feels like it is almost on the rib. it is not noticeable by just looking at his chest. you really have to feel down to tell it is there. definitely under the skin

Lipoma???
I found a lump on my Chesapeakes chest just below the rib cage. It is about the size of a golf ball cut in half. We are headed to the vet tomorrow, but i am still a little nervous. He is almost 9 years old and is in great health. After doing a little research, it sounds like it could be Lipoma but ...

My wife works for the hospital and was scared to go to work Tuesday morning because her face was so swollen from the bites. Those jokers are terrible in the Clarksdale area, but were fine @ Horseshoe Lake in Ark. I don't understand it.
