I prefer to trade the barrel for a 24" or 26" barrel in very good condition. I am converting the gun into a duck gun.

Any one looking for a professionally worked over turkey barrel? I would like to trade for a standard 24" or 26" barrel In excellent condition. Over $250 worth of work done.

Buy the 700. Put the extra money towards better optics. The sps stock sucks. Next year locate a used fiberglass stock of good quality. Bed your action. Go kill $#!+...

Or buy a 700 in laminate configuration and avoid the pos sps plastic stock altogether.

I have regular old Nikon Monarch ATB's. I think they are great. A buddy has Zeiss Divaris and I can't tell $1200 difference. Way good enough for round hera.
