Re: Truck prices

I drive an Accord all week for work. Bought my weekend truck a few months ago. 2004 Ford Excursion with 140K miles on it for $4,300.00. Yes, it gets 12 miles to the gallon but for trips to the lake or deer camp only, it is a bargain all the way around.

Re: Quick update from my neck of the woods

Sun up to 4pm is 8 hours in a blind... Your friends are either crazy or have a bad home life to go back to. I would be stiffer than a 2x4.

Re: Low testosterone

On the contrary, I believe Low T is a much more serious issue than you. I think that it explains in many ways why some men gain weight so much more rapidly once they hit their 40's. I think my father would have been a perfect candidate for replacement had it been around when he was alive. I remember...

46 and have been on Androgel for about a year... Its the easiest, most convenient way of raising your levels. It and others got a bad name a year or so ago because of the abuse with young guys using too much and subsequently increasing heart issues. My doctor is one of the top internal med docs in G...

Re: closing attorney outbid me

Your story reminds me of a similar event my Dad shared with me a few years before he passed. He had just gotten out of the Navy and he and my Mom were looking for a home. They happened upon a great deal for a small house on Moon Lake in Coahoma Co. that had just gone on the market. This would have b...

Re: closing attorney outbid me

If I were you, I would go find a nasty plaintiff attorney with a track record and go after him. Look around the Delta; Clarksdale, Greenwood, etc... There are a few really good ones. Do you have any documentation?

Re: So, Oxberry Hunting Camp Is For Sale?

I would be totally shocked if this place is for sell or ever gets cleared. There are over 20 members, all equity owners and wealthy. They just purchased a block outside the fence in the last few years. They have been shooting nothing but culls through 8pts for a few years and passing on all 10pt + u...

Re: Anybody live in or around Memphis?

If you are renting a house in Cordova, at some point you will get broken into... If your working at the Agricenter and looking for a safe place to live with a short commute, I would begin by looking in the Eads community or east of Lakeland or somewhere well east of Cordova. You can take a few backr...

Considering who frequents this board, if you had to choose aligning with either: Ted Cruz/Mike Lee or John McCain/Mitch McConnell which would you choose? Therein lies what is going on with the MS Senate race. Furthermore, if the big draw of voting for Cochran is having him head the Senate Appropriat...

Re: Polaris Ranger 400 mid-size

I have an '11 400... It has plenty of power at 460 cc's with about 100 hrs. I have also had no problems with carbs, belts, lights, etc. but I don't run mine hard. To and from the deer stand, an occasional trip out into shin deep water in a beanfield to drop my stuff at a pit, etc. If I were a piss a...

Planting millet

I am going to attempt to plant some millet in one of my duck holes this year. Its on some WRP land that was designed for a moist soil area. About 3 acres that holds water pretty well. In the summers the banks of this area are pretty bare with just mud and a little wild grass. Any suggestion on how t...

Get an empty beer keg from your local beer distributor, attach a long logging chain through the handle and lock the chain to itself with a good lock, take the other end of the chain and attach 3-4 cmu concrete blocks or a heavy piece of metal on the end of the chain, sink block/metal in the center o...

Go to one of Sexton's fish markets, pick out 3-4 lbs of fresh shrimp and ask them to steam them while you wait, grab a quart of seafood bisque, a loaf of their french bread, a bottle of wine and go back to your balcony and enjoy the best meal you will have all week. Beats the heck out of traffic, lo...
