Re: For the love of everything good and holy
Well I might be one of the guys folks around here accuse of pimping his business on the FB group but I will chime in anyhow. I've been around as long as I can remember. like some others my profile shows a much later join date because I cant keep up with crap and had to re-join. As some of you know I...

Mottled ducks and nest tubes
Has anyone seen info on mottled duck use of gen houses or nest tubes?
Seeing a few pairs in same locations as last year but their nests got destroyed last summer before hatch. Just wondering if they will use them.
Thanks

Glad to hear it is just rumor.
I couldnt imagine them doing anything to get in a bind. They have always been great stewards of conservation.

Anyt truth to this South Delta rumor?
Heard tell that the large private track on the West side of Sunflower WMA, formerly the Wansley farm, the big WRP with the nice lodge, was shut down by either the feds or the state Game and Fish.
Any truth to this or was it just rumor?

If I were a betting man
I think I am gonna go ahead and star planning my vacation time. Last time we had a January 31st on a sunday the season ran like this: November 27-29 December 4-6 December 9 - January 31 I can live with that. Gave me a lot longer season with the two zones in LA and AR to hunt. So I'll take those date...

The Old Point System Reserch
I was hoping someone kept better records me. I am trying to find our season lengths and point values from 1979 through the end our point system. I remember one year MS opted for an extra mallard over extra days but all my old regs are packed up in storage and I have not been able to locate them. Any...

Re: Blue Wings
Was on a place in SE AR yesterday and was shocked at the number of mallards still around. Strong duck numbers in general but at least 25% of the 2-4k birds on this 1000 acres were mallards.
Sure was fun letting all those birds pile in and buzz me while I worked on habitat.

Re: Granular 2 4d Amine
The aquatic 2 4d I have used in the past was Navigate. We used it primarily to clear out sub aquatic plants around a boat dock where we fish. Coon tail was our main issue but we did not want to kill it all because the gadwall love it. Broadcast it around the dock and it did a good job for us with pr...

Re: Granular 2 4d Amine
Thanks for the input. I knew the cost was much higher. Like I said, I noticed a lot of the consumer lawn weed products had 2 4d so I was wondering if there was an equivalent product for larger application. I have some areas that stay soft that I can broadcast using a blower rig set up on a 4 wheeler...

Granular 2 4d Amine
Have any of yall tried using a granular 2 4d on land rather than a liquid spray? I have used it on aquatics and the time release and residual aspect of it worked well. Got to thinking about it and looked at several lawn granular formulas main active ingredient is 2 4d. Probably gonna test it in some...
