Could someone please post a link to an audio file of this bouncing hen thing? I can't imagine what you are talking about.

Find a place holding a large concentration of ducks and just sit and listen, listen and listen some more. Trying to imatate a calller just makes you sound like a caller, try to duplicate sounds the ducks make. One other thing I have found to be very helpful, and make sure to do this out of earshot o...

Wingman has the button there. I do use some off the wall stuff though. Having spent many hours just sitting next to a sanctuary listening to ducks I learned to make some of their odd chatter/whine, agressive feeding noises. These sounds get some strange looks from folks who have never hunted with me...

Maybe bad luck for me, but good luck for the home team?
I am booked to fly back home in about 14 hours, thats thursday afternoon if you don't feel like counting, and we in the upper IL region are on the finge of a potential winter storm. Enough of one that I might not be able to get a flight out. It just all depends on when the rain turns to ice and when...

You might also be able to find the old Final Approach blind on clearance like I did. Picked them up for 39.99 at sierratradingpost.com. Just search for Kolpin or Final approach on there and you might get lucky. Tupe P.S. If you follow this link http://www.ducksouth.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=29169&am...

If you train your dog to hunt out of it it is a great tool. If you do not have time to train your dog to hunt out of one it will be major frustration. My new pup has been in and out of hers since day one. I set it up inside and she decided it was like a fort. Now, I work her out of it whenever I can...

I have hunted out of the X-terminator and i liked it. In fact, if I had not found the Final Approach SUBs for such a good price I would have bought two XTs. Very roomy, simple set up and comfortable. That being said, I would suggest looking at the SUB by FA. You can get the field brown one for $139 ...

Thanks for the compliments. I travel with just about every color grass and paint I feel like I could run across. Nartural is for sure the way to go, but I have hit fields where the crops were cut so clean that scraping up enough to hide would have had me picking weeds at shooting light. A couple of ...

Here is a comparison shot of the dog blinds I did. Two things to notice here. 1. The blind on the left has been mudded and painted to take some of the dark spots out. It also has clips addes to break up the center area. Normaly I just throw a handful of stubble there. 2. I left about half the loops ...

I bought some of the Cabelas brand stuff and I was very pleased with the color, quality and quantity. My blinds are, or were, field brown, but I darkend them up for my trip to the Dakotas with some textured paint. I took the time to hand sort and tie all the grass, and even went back and retied one ...

While the posting law mentioned above is correct, I still ask. Last time we went 9 out of ten yes answers, the only no was because the farmer had already given permission. There is a lot of public land, but this would be a tough year to go and just hunt the potholes. The drought this year cut availa...

Between this and the Yazoo backwater pumping project the delta has some big foes out in the wings. Please learn about these projuects and write your elected officials in opposition to them. Shunting water downstream is not a solution to flooding. It has been shown time and again that restoration of ...

As a fella in the publishing business I can tell you right now that those kinds of surveys are essential to keeping a publication on target, and a buck to get a response is CHEAP. As far as cutting down on advertising? Well that is tough, print costs went up drasticly last year and postage jumped a ...
