Re: American or British
You can find many American bred labs act the same way.

Re: Anyone got a good yellow female?
Don't count on getting the same dog from your next puppy. "He's an absolute phenomenal hunting dog" Man, if I had a $1 everytime I read or heard that. You should keep your rookie comments to yourself! If I had a nice bitch, black or yellow, how could you not be all over this;) You should j...

Re: Puppy question - crate training
Sometimes we forget they are just babies with no attention span. They get caught up in playing and it isn't untill they are removed from that play time they remember "oh crap I forgot to pee" It is frustrating. The 8month old I have went to the door the day I brought him home. And not once...

Re: Puppy question - crate training
Not many puppies that age can hold it more than 5-6 hours. I have a 3 month old right now that has been the hardest puppy to housebreak. (I have had 10 puppies in the last 10 years) And he too will drink a gallon of water at one sitting if I would let him. He will beg for water. As long as I regulat...

Then find one that does. Nothing to play with, can lead to a bad infection and can migrate to different areas. What vet in NOLA do you see?

Re: quick question need input
Why do it half way. If you are going to train him train him. "Somewhat steady" why not just go ahead and steady him. " And if you are going to do FF, just finish it you will be much happier in the end.

The only problem with doing them yourself is if you ever need to board a dog and need proof, they won't just take your word for it.

What does he mean by "working with him to stop pacing". If possible he should crate him at night.

Re: My dog's feet are sore
Not much. I have tried the products that toughen the pads but did not work on concrete. Buy horse stall mats and glue them down over the concrete. I had a bad pacer when he was in a kennel environment and this helped. Also, he can try putting pvc pipes across the kennel about two feet apart and a fo...
