Hunt in Arkansas last week
Really good hunt considering not so good duck weather. This hunt was around Palmer, AR. Lots of ducks in the area but need weather to make them move.

Re: Finding more arrowheads
Just think like an ancient and you will find artifacts. How long can you live without water? 3 days max so you better live close to a good, reliable, clean source of fresh water. But you can have to much water in a flood so better find the highest ground but still close to the water source. You can ...

Re: Finding more arrowheads
I liked that first one the best with the striped coloring. When it said Pickwick or Benton, is that the location where you found it or is that the name of the stone it was made from? Nice video! It is the name of the point although many are names or the location that they were found back in the 50s...

Re: Who is finding some arrowheads?
I enjoy seeing what you, and others find. I follow a group on FB about artifacts as well. But I have a question for you. Why does it seem that everyone films their searches? To validate the authenticity of the finds? I film to document the artifacts as well as just to put on youtube for everyone. I...

Re: Who is finding some arrowheads?
The chert they are made of usually patentates white so it makes it easier to spot them in the Alabama red clay. They get hard to spot in the creeks and rivers sometimes because of all the other rocks laying around.

Who is finding some arrowheads?
Found a few nice points in February. Hopefully with all the rain and flooding I will be able to find some more soon. So much rain it is almost to muddy to walk the fields. Here is a video of February finds:

Re: Some ducks finally showed up for last weekend
We had a terrible season until the very last weekend but that's duck hunting. I'm sure we will have 1000s on the place now that the season is over and the really cold weather is hitting. Still always had fun just getting to go see some empty sky sunrises.

Some ducks finally showed up for last weekend
Ready slow year but we had some pretty good hunts on the last weekend. Mostly redheads and teal. Really strange season. We normally don't get the large number of redheads that showed up.

Re: Swan Creek WMA blind draw day
Tica, Do you know a guy that used to hunt out there and may still. His first name is Robert, worked for TVA, and made duck calls (Double Oak or Twin Oak??). Very serious duck hunter. I worked with him at TVA several years ago. He shared some stories about Swan Lake. Very interesting. Pond I don't r...

Swan Creek WMA blind draw day
crazy stuff a duck hunter will do for a spot. I think they prolly had 270+ blinds for 50 spots this year. Here's the video:
