Re: Clarion Ledger
Well below average for us. We have seen the least number of ducks and killed the least number of ducks of any season we can recall.

Re: Big Apple Inn
I eat them fairly frequently and love them. Most of the time they have a hunk of meat attached to them where the ear joins the head. This imparts some flavor to it. I like the gelatinous sticky consistency myself. Gotta get them with the slaw and homemade hot sauce.

Re: Is it Normal
Mine just finished 7th season...towards the end I started thinking about going without him...makes me want to quit. He lives in the house and goes everywhere I go be it fishing or grocery shopping. He harasses my wife and 8 year old boxer. He and my two year old daughter battle it out for crackers ...

Re: decoy question
Holy cow man...are you putting out and picking up 80 blocks each hunt? Put your goose decoys behind or just upwind of blind...builds confidence. I'm not sure you can effectively target geese and ducks at same time.

Driest year I've ever seen
I am surprised by the lack of griping about low water or no water conditions this year. Maybe you all have water in your areas but we have been limited by lack of water. We had no tropical storm type rainfall this year and the fronts never dumped much rain on us. The water we have has had ducks but ...

Help...looking for a specific type of bucket
I figured with all the people on here with different backgrounds someone would know where I can find a bucket. I want one (actually several) that is about 3 gallon size with markings on the inside for pints, quarts, gallons. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Ask Ducksouth: Handheld Gps units
I favor the Lowrance but like all others they have their issues. We have this model and have not had any problems to date but only been using it a few months. The touchscreen is a must and makes usage much easier.

Jerk cord vs call
I also had to redo my jerk cord...so another question. Which would take to the hole if you could only have a jerk cord or a call assuming your hunting in mississippi ie tail end of the flyway in January. If your answer is neither and would opt for the Mojo then do not reply and go smash both thumbs ...

How important is decoy conditon ?
I just got through sorting and changing out decoy cord on my decoys. The stuff got brittle last season and several broke on me. These are GHG that are going on their 5th season. Some have paint scraped of heads and all are stained with mud and muck. Lets here some opinions as to how important yall ...

Re: ATTENTION MEMBERS !!!!!!!!
Thanks, I joined and saw a very little of the provacative attitude when I joined. Now all you get is sarcasm and jest. I have hunted many situations and many conditions. It would be nice to discuss these ideas amongst members. To my dismay, I think what you will see in future is more "fake posts ...

Re: need help
really...really...do we have to do this again...if this is real, believe me, no one on here will or should tell you anything useful about public duck hunting in MS (nor should they)...more likely this post is in jest or to stir the proverbial stew pot...i hope both are met with no success and this ...

Re: THE TRUTH!!!!!
I agree with everyone...eat what you kill. I enjoy cooking ducks in various ways and the occasional goose. I have never been able to make a snow fit to eat and have tried a few different things. Beastie I wish you would post up some detail as to how to prepare a snow so I'm not the only one in the ...

4mo seems too early for a torn ACL...X-ray will not show tendon or ligament damage at all for that you need an MRI...very expensive. If its off and on and dog is acting normal, eating, growing, and happy I think I would wait and see...could be a hip or paw problems or even a back problem that will ...

duck lease
This may be too late but worth a try. I found out last week that I may lose the lease I have had for the last few years. Does anybody know of an available lease? Preferably a place with some history to it. Please PM if you know of anything. Thanks
