Re: This place is all but dead.....
I haven’t posted to this forum in 4 years and thought would stop by to see what’s happening. I miss the banter and old crew…Dan, Benny, RIP EM, Don Miller, Bigwater, Wildfowler…the list goes on. We had some fun out here for sure. Anyway, those that didn’t have kids then do now and those that did ...

Re: AU and ESPN
I went to the game...an Auburn fan for the day. Some time around 5:56PM...the wheels came off and my Texas fan buddy and I kind of did our own tiger walk to the stadium. I am still hung over as I type this. Hot co-eds and great fans. had a ball...now back to hating Auburn since I have pulled for ...

Re: Rossi Youth gun ???
I have the .22, 243, 20 ga. combo. The 243 breach breaks open after every shot. I don't like it one bit. The 243 barrel has been retired. I would consider a Remington 700 youth in a 7-08 or 243. When they outgrow it, you can drop the rig in an adult stock.

Re: Hackberry Flats WMA in Oklahoma
yep...have hunted it..dry as a bone last year and reports from this weekend indicate the same. The refuge will always have water. Free lancing in OK is difficult and hard work. My advice to anyone wanting to hunt OK is to book a trip through a reputable outfitter like the Duck Club of OK. Tim West ...

Re: Nice Brown trout
Will do - I have fished this river for about ten years..I'll just be beating the water a lot more now. I am heading to 11 mile this weekend to fish the canyon there and then over to Cheeseman canyon near Deckers. Ping me when you are heading this way. The Roaring Fork is just over a few hills.

Nice fish!
What'd he eat?
he was fooled by a flashback pheasant tail. still trying to figure out the mid day patterns on this river but about daylight 30 there is a huge trico hatch that is unbelievable. This is a gold medal stream .. all catch and release..and any son of a gun with a fly rod ...

Nice Brown trout
I caught this fish yesterday on the South Platte outside of Hartsel, CO. I had my phone in one hand and the fish in another. The fish has to be well over 20 inches IMO. Anyone an expert at guestimating the size of fish? He stripped some line but lost the battle..released to fight another day.

You are correct. My property taxes go to the city of Frisco schools instead of funding all other kinds of useless BS.

Re: Ask Duck South...Wedding Stuff??
The first thing that I would do is stop planning this far in advance. The gig is over a year away. If you start now, you will have to listen to details and problems, etc., etc., etc... for over a year .

Re: Teacher Pay Question
I also believe that if you want good eductaion for your kids then you have to pay for it. Let's take the city if Jackson for example. I used to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of 1% in property taxes. When I moved, I payed 2.8% in TX...yes 2.8%. That equates to about a $4000 annual increase in my ...
