I also guide duck hunts and hunt with friends also. When I get a call from someone wanting to go hunting, if we don't have any ducks, that's what I'm gonna tell the person calling. Im not in this to get rich i just wanna use the resources I have available to pay for my expenses on food, wells, lodge ...

I also talked to a couple of friend s of mine that hunted at a place called flag lake just NW of rolling fork and they said 3 blinds killed 70 ducks and I think it was about 15 people hunting, they usually wear 'em out!

Anybody have any luck yesterday and today, we didn't go yesterday it was too damn hot. But we did do pretty good saturday.

2 hunters, killed 4 greenheads, 5 gadwalls, and 4 big canadians. Out by 7:30, flooded the truck in a ditch by 8:00, pulled it out an hour later with a tractor, let the water drain out and drove back to the camp! We had a blast!!!

Pintail, if you want in the big river up north try chotard landing if the water is high enough to get out like it is now but I've never put out below the yazoo, we just left from the v'burg waterfront landing.

yeah peewee, I'm very familiar with low water bridge road, you know the house on top of the hill with the pond in front of it and the airstrip beside it, I used to live there and we used to farm all that land.

I think some deer clubs and some WMA are still killing too many. One club beside us has already killed 140 does and that's rediculous.

I wouldn't kill a limit of hen's but when times are hard like they are now for most of us, SOMETHING HAS TO DIE!

That's great LS, I used to guide hunts in wy. about 3 yrs. ago, Mule deer and Antelope though mainly in the plains area and near south dakota.

Real hunters should only care about what the sunrise time is gonna be, I wouldn't evn think about screwing up any hole I ever had shooting ducks so long I had to worry about sunset shooting hours! [img]images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img]

I also hunt around the v'burg, eagle lake area and also around the tree farm area and have seen a few bucks chasing does and have heard several stories of some bucks really fighting hard.

I tell you caney, it sucks not having any ducks but i can live with it, It's good just to be able to get out in the blind or just stand in the water and watch the sun come up. But you can get a little too laid back and let some slip in on ya, and that sucks too. Just try to make the best out of what ...
