Ducks in Sledge?

Heading to the lease this Fri. High on Sunday is supposed to be 71. Not what I was hoping for. First time to make to the land. Any activity?

Couldn't get out this weekend but my buddy just called and said that our field produced the same or even less than the last few weeks.(sucks). Our field is off of 315 a few miles before you get to 61. We have had a super slow year.

We hunt on the west side of Sledge and were slow on Sat and Sun. Killed a few of the same ole Gaddies I think we have been hunting all year. Monday we were skunked but saw tons of high flyers starting around 8:30 or so.(right when we had to head home). Hope the last week is better than the rest of ...

How long do you guys have your dog sit and stay at heel when the hunting is extremely slow? We did an all day hunt this weekend and by 9:00 a.m. birds just totally quit. I live in Homewood and I take my Choc. Lab to Dr. Gregg Tucker. He is at Greensprings Animal Clinic. He is a big time duck hunter himself with an awesome female Choc Lab. Perfect situation for me because everytime I need to take my dog Stanley in, I look forward to the duck hunting conversation ...

We just leased a spot from Robert as well. Seems like a really nice guy. We hunted in Sledge one weekend last year and did pretty well. Since we are coming from Birmingham, is Sardis the closest place to get a hotel or is Helena closer?
