It was 5 guys going coon hunting on a 200 acre private island between the chutes. (don't know if they had permission) It was also around 3 in the morning. The three with life jackets floated to shore, the two without didn't make it. They are still looking for the dog too. The lake was whitecapping ...

After not seeing any ducks to speak of over the past week, we decided to do some deer hunting this morning. Wouldn't you know it, the one morning we don't duck hunt...well you know the rest. Ducks by the thousands pouring in. Went to check it out this afternoon and saw the same thing. Should be good ...

The Birds are spotty. Some have them, some don't. If you are hunting Private Land you should do alright. I have heard mixed reports coming from there over the past 2 weekends. Opening weekend was good, but it has tapered off since then. A few bucks are chasing does, but the rut isn't heavy just yet ...

Hey Duck Diggler, You wouldn't happen to know Blane Lee would you? He hunts down that way. I am supposed to make a hunt with him later in the season.

I am a Choctaw. Originally from Natchez, do most of my hunting down that way, and some over in La. What year did you grad. in?

Just talked to a friend from Arkansas and said that they limited yesterday with no trouble. Said this front is pushing down MANY, MANY ducks. He said it is definately the first big push of the year. With any luck they will be here and stick around for Saturday. Good Luck Guys
