Re: Unwritten rules

Never pass up a legal kill on a legal bird and never pass on a bird today, that you would shoot the last day. Keep the Turkey Gods happy! I killed two birds really quick one year and then passed on a third bird with a small beard(small but legal) because I wanted a bigger one. I never got my third b...

Re: Well, It Is Over...rate the 2015/2016 Duck Season

9. I went one time and we limited out. I had rather gone more, but when the weather and ducks aren't right, I don't waste my time. As a person who grew up and lives in Panola and Tallahatchie Counties.......I hope we have several more years just like this one. To many flooded fields-most that have n...

I like the Primo Grill at Grills of MS in Ridgeland better than the egg. Especially the Oval XL.

Re: Ever been to Canadia?

I've been to Canada hunting a couple times. It is legal to bait in Saskatchewan so you will most like hunt over alfalfa hay, green peas or some other grain your guide puts out. The season is only 5 weeks long(Mid of October thru the first of Dec). The first part can be mild, but the last part will b...

Re: 20 gauge Auto reviews and advice

I just bought a Compact Stoeger M3020 for my boys. Almost no recoil and only weighs 5.5lbs. Seems to be a great gun.

Re: Ideal property

I have two pieces of "ideal" /"prime" property in mind. The York Woods due to it's close proximity and the ability to kill big deer and some duck. Also, I don't have to worry about the Big River washing it away. Second is a tract of land in Okeechobee County(South Florida) becaus...

Re: Cruise out of New Orleans

I would avoid the Elation ship out of NOLA if possible. It is a older, smaller ship. It is not bad, just the newer ships are larger and more amenities. I have cruised several times(twice out of NOLA). The NOLA terminal is easy to access. May should be a good time....not too hot yet. I prefer to stay...

Re: Stand window height ?

My windows are 36" from the floor and I use 12" tall windows. I put a 2x10 on the window sill for a nice shooting platform.... this gets your gun off the window base. I have two 10"tall 30"x30" boxes for my kids to stand on help them shoot. The last I built was 8'x8'. It all...
