I've seen it before. Talked to a game warden in Brinkley, Ar. about it the first time I saw it. He told me they were worms and they were safe to eat. It's not for me though.

Most of the ones we've taken while duck hunting have been some we caught flying just a little too low but we did have one come into the dekes a couple of weeks ago when there was some low fog. First time I'd seen that happen. I believe he would have landed in the decoys if I'd given him the chance.

Spoon, no doubt pumps and doubles are some of the most dependable ducks guns around. I shot an 870 at ducks for years and there no question in my mind about a pumps dependablity. However, I've shot my SBE for the past 10 years or so mainly using 3.5" winchesters and I've never had a single problem ...

Don't worry, it won't get thrown away. Gonna take it to the skeet range this weekend and shoot a couple of rounds through it to see if I can duplicate the problem with 2 3/4" loads before I send it back to Benelli next week.

I'm glad to hear it will shoot 3" with no problem. I was afraid there might be an issue with them. I just got off the phone with Benelli USA's customer service. Gonna send it back first of next week and let them take a look at it. I don't feel too 'safe' when the bolt slams shut on a live shell with ...

Never had a problem with the SBE. Shot it for 6 years. Just the new SBE II.

I'd have to agree with hillhunter. Buy some quality clothes to layer with and most times you'll be able to go without a bulky parka. I use good long johns, fleece turtleneck shirts and a windproof fleece pullover jacket. Only wore the columbia parka once this year when it was pouring down rain.

I have noticed the hevi-shot produces more residue and once thought that may have something to do with it but this past weekend, the gun was clean and still failed to chamber a follow-up shot (that was just about straight up over my head). I was left with no second shot and half a shell hanging out ...

Benelli SBE II issue

Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with their sbe II chambering a follow up shot? On more than one occasion this season I have had a follow up shot end up hanging out the breech with the bolt closing on it rather than loading into the chamber. Noticed it mainly with 3" HS Hevi-Shot ...
