Re: Official recipe thread

My wife, Jenny and I have been making Deer-B-Que for about as long as I have been deer hunting and that's been quite awhile. I don't think it's any exact way that it has to be done. In fact each batch that we make turns out different but always as good as anyone could imagine. It's great on an open ...

big buck, Thank you. I didn't mean to get out of bounds from what this thread is all about. All I had planned to do was share a picture. I'm glad that you took time to check out my website and enjoyed it. <><><><><><><><> Chipper, I appreciate your interest and order. I was able to get your video in...

Dutch Dog, It's good to hear from you. Thanks for the heads up on the PM. Your right, I didn't know I had one. The site has really grown and looking good. I'm looking forward to spending more time here. Actually, I've got a video project in progress. I'm going through all my Traditional Bowhunting f...

tombstone, Thank you. I've been a registered member here for quite awhile. It's a really good site. I enjoy checking in and reading about people and events here in our area of the world. But... I actually spend most of my Internet time at http://www.outdoorcore.com . It's a relative new site and I'm...

bradrussell5, Thank you, writing a story of all my kills is just another form of my record keeping. Cow Oak, Swamp Chestnut and Basket Oak are different, accepted, names for the same tree. I called a Water Oak a Pin Oak for years before I found out it is actually a Water Oak. It took me awhile to be...

Double R 2, Thank You. Your right, no fancy wheels or pullies on my Acadian Woods recurve bow. I made this kill out of a treestand. Here's the story of that hunt. For this morning, I decided to hunt an area that I had scouted a couple of weeks ago. During that time I had watched 4 deer for about 20 ...

msbigdawg1234, Thanks. I wouldn't say I have killed any monsters but I have got a few nice bucks from the, mostly public, land that I hunt in Louisiana & Mississippi. As far as pictures I have at least one of every deer I've killed with bow or gun. If your really interested, the best way to chec...

I shoot bucks like that because they are legal. And, Yes, After 38 years of bowhunting, I'm still excited to have an opportunity to shoot any legal deer with a bow.

Congratulations, Driveby. you really did good. A 20 yard shot, at that. Nothing like the first traditional kill. The good thing about it you get the same feeling on all of them. There is no getting use to it. Now that you've got that first one out of the way and found out you can do it, there will b...

Here's a link from Tradgang.com for all kinds of Traditional bows, that are for sale. http://tradgang.com//noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum&f=5&submit=Go You can also find good starter bows at E-Bay. I would never recommend anyone buying a high dollar custom made stickbow before they were cer...

John, For me it's just plain & simple and more fun, shooting with traditional equipment. Besides I'm able to shoot an arrow much faster than I could with a compound. Nothing to check on, nothing to line up, no guessing distances. Just point the bow, draw the string to anchor and release. Most of...

Thanks Rebel Yelp, I appreciate it. ______________________ Hello driveby, Of course I know & remember Chris. I don't seem to talk with him as much as I use to but we have done a lot of e-mailing in the past. He even came down here and shot a 3D shoot, with me, a couple of years ago. I consider C...

Thanks, John, I wasn't expecting a big introduction. Yes, It was good to hear from John. It had been awhile since we last talked. I was glad to hear that DeerSouth was back on line. I had given up on it coming back and quit checking. I'm a traditional bowhunter and I spend a good bit of time at Trad...
