Re: Wanted: Youth Guns

I bought the Rossi .22 / .410 combo for around $130. Interchangeable barrels and it's been great. Loves the .22 and killed a deer with a .410 slug last year. Just moved up to a .223 Handi rifle. $269 for the gun and threw a $90 scope on it. We are staying with single shot guns for now - this is for ...

Re: You offshore guys

Those patches are worth more than gold on an offshore trip.

We had 4 guys and 3 patches. 5 hours later we had 1 sick guy and 3 that had a great trip.

Re: Cataracts in dogs.....help, anyone???

Dr. Miller is excellent or Dr. Nelms in Birmingham are your only 2 options that are relatively close.

Re: A place to take the wife on a first duck hunt??

I would wait until mid to late January (when the hunting is better). Somewhere approximately 1-1 1/2 hours from home so you'll need to leave around 3-3:30 am to get there on time. Let temps get somewhere in the mid 20's to low 30's so that breaking ice is required. Preferably a timber hole with mult...

Re: Arkansas/Ole Miss

Tyler Wilson's head is finally clear. He plays well in Little Rock and he's getting is favorite TE back this week. While Kentucky is bad - Arkansas still scored 49 on them last week. I think the Ole Miss secondary continues to get exposed against a good passing QB. John L. Smith will be all smiles a...

Re: Jeep considers outsourcing production to china

Until these unions come under some control we'll probably see more of this. On the flip side foreign companies such as Toyota, Nissan, and Mercedes have seen fit to bring some of their production to the Southern states where there is no union control. They know the American worker can build a better...

What are the odds of LSU taking him back now? I still say pretty good.

Re: Miss St. vs. BAMA

I don't know that McCarron is necessarily the better QB based on talent but supporting staff definitely plays a role. Russell's numbers would look better if MSU's receivers had not dropped the ball as much. A lot of those passes have been right on the money and flat out dropped. Throwing to 4 and 5 ...

Re: Miss St. vs. BAMA

I don't think State can match up with Alabama on the offensive or defensive line. Unfortunately this is where we will lose the game. Now if Alabama makes a few mistakes and we force some turnovers then it may be a different story. I think we keep it close until halftime or maybe into the 3rd quarter...

Re: In ground or wireless fence

I've never heard of the roof or trees being an issue. You just limit yourself to a circular area vs. being able to fence in the exact property lines. It would not have worked for me because I have a long but narrow lot and the wireless would have allowed my dogs in the neighbors yard on either side....

Re: Peyton on MNF

Couldn't believe it. Turned it off early in the 3rd quarter with them down 24-7. Woke up this morning to that score. I still think Peyton has lost a lot of arm strength on longer passes. The one touchdown pass I saw him make was very accurate but wobbly. I guess an 80% Peyton Manning is better than ...
