We Found bigfoot!

Just back from Mexico. Gould's are rapidly becoming my favorite bird to hunt. Spectacular area. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g202/thewaterfowler/IMG_8455_zpsfjn5menl.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g202/thewaterfowler/20160504_195104_zpsz8vswzsw.jpg

Re: Taxidermy Rip-off.

Thanks, not trying to be a horses butt, but just standing up for myself. I've got plenty of birds mounted by taxidermists other than myself but don't advertise them as my own. Bad business!

Re: Taxidermy Rip-off.

I've got his cell number already. Don't plan on using it though If he is a stand-up guy he would be calling me to explain and the conversation he had on FB with my son and several others just brings to light the sham he was perpetrating. I majored in Vertebrate Zoology in college, not English. But, ...

Taxidermy Rip-off.

Admittedly taxidermists can be a little left of plumb, but to claim some other taxidermists work as your own is pretty low. I mounted these birds several years ago for a good client and now this guy is claiming them as his own. He didn't even bother to photo shop them off my trophy room wall at my h...

Nice Looking Mount!!

Good looking mount IMO, but I'm a little biased. The problem is, I did it several years ago and now this taxidermist is claiming it as his work. Problem is this picture was taken at my shop, at my house, with my camera and I mounted every one of them. Wouldn't know this guy from Adam's house cat but...

Re: Avian flu

I get USDA updates almost daily and a new strain has popped up in Indiana making two HPAI strains making the rounds. We now have H5N2 and H5N8 to deal with and has also been detected in wild birds in Kentucky. Has been rampant in Iowa and Minnesota with new cases almost daily. States in the Ms. flyw...

Re: Sleep Apnea

All said is very much spot on. I now get my REM sleep and don't conk out at 4 p.m. in the afternoon with a nap as before. More energy and not confronted with the danger of my brain short circuiting with a stroke or a MI during the night. I travel with it everywhere. Took me two nights to get used to...

Re: Duck ID.....

Perfect reason to shop around for someone that specializes in waterfowl. The satisfaction of a cheap mount is long gone while the disappointment of a poor mount remains.

Re: Wildlife Cameraman Crashed his Ultralight Monday

So sorry to hear. He was a true character and friend. I have a bunch of his DVD's and hunting with him in Canada was a definite bonus. As Patrick said he was a funny guy and added so much to the trip.

Re: Obregon, Mexico Trip Report

I'm sure it includes everything except ammo. Turn me loose down there with ammo included and they will need a U-Haul just to keep me in shells! White wings can be that good. October is prime dove hunting time. But Feb. can be a good combo hunt for both doves and ducks. Flights to Hermosillo can be m...
