Re: Best Running Shoe
More votes for Stinky Feet and Brooks shoes. I'm 5'10" and hover around 260lbs. Joined Marathon Makeover in 2011 and completed a marathon after 10 months of training (and before that had NEVER exercised a day in my life!!). I wore out two pair of Brooks and was in my third pair when I did the ...

Re: ungrateful kids
Parents are to blame = period. I was brought up to say "enjoyed it" at a very minimum when provided a meal either by my mother, other family, friends - whatever. It didn't matter whether I had to eat a plate of dog shat with a side of cat hairball and a glass of dirty dishwater to wash it down with ...

For the Rebs - don't get down. Remember last year? After 7 games UM was 3 - 4. Not an impressive start. But the next 5 regular season games and resulting bowl game were wins. Got it together and things started clicking. Which way will the team go from here, we'll have to wait and see. There's ...

Re: Concrete question
I use the following link as a "guide" when buying bags of quickcrete for small jobs. It's usually pretty close to what is needed.
http://www.quikrete.com/Calculator/Main.asp
This is a good one for just wanting to know volume needed:
http://www.concrete.com/calculatorsmaterials.htm#volume
Hope this helps.

Re: democrats and their african roots -- way OT
Nice read, and so true:
"Since the dawn of history the Negro has owned the continent of Africa - rich beyond the dream of poet’s fancy, crunching acres of diamonds beneath his bare black feet. Yet he never picked one up from the dust until a White man showed to him its glittering light. His land ...

Re: Don't Run From Cops in Birmingham
I am in favor of beatings - public beatings, but only AFTER the accused is found guilty by due process of the law. Obviously, the threat of being locked up does not appear to be a deterent to crime.

If you want a locally made (i.e. Canton) Titan, hurry up. I hear the 2011 models are going to be made by Chrysler in a plant in Mexico.

Fish Fry
Puttin' on a fish fry (catfish). Gonna be about 30 people - 18 or so mixed adults, 8 teenagers, 4 small kids.
How many pounds of fish filets should I plan on frying??
Will also have french fries, hush-puppies, cole slaw, and will throw in a bag of chicken nuggets for the little ones.

My vote is for Honda. Honda has years of reliable history on the CRV. Wife owned a 2005 CRV and really liked it, but just had to trade it in on a Honda van -loves the van also. The 4 cyl in the CRV was plenty peppy. Just my .02 cents.

Re: Scopechief by Bushnell scope?
I bought a Scopechief 3x9x40 new in 1985 - used it on a 30-06 auto until 1996. Then put on a 7mm mag bolt action. Used the scope on the 7mm mag up until last year when I ran across someone who wanted the gun and scope set up more than I did. Never had one bit of problem out of scope keeping zero ...
