Re: Turkey Season 2019

I really think they are just now getting started. Once we get out of the 30s and into the 40s / 50s in the mornings things are really going to take off. Last season I believe the turkeys had already starting before the season came in for us and then it fizzled out early for many. This year is more o...

Turkey Season 2019

What are your reports on the season...?

Been pretty a great 2019 season thus far! I have taken one for myself and have called up two more for others.

The mornings have been cool but that has not slowed the success we have experienced in the first 15 or so days.

Best of Luck to you guys!!

Re: Anyone seeing ducks?

Is it Turkey season yet...?? I know right? I have deer hunted pretty much exclusively this year barring the first two weekends of duck season and a squirrel trip with the kid. Have been watching the turkey flock all season with the anticipation of a virgin on prom night. I can't wait to see these S...

Re: Anyone seeing ducks?

Worst season that I can remember. My 2018 license got me through the opener before expiring in early December. I did not even buy a duck hunting license this year. First time in 25 years of hunting that has ever happened. Kept getting reports of single digit kills and never went back to camp...

I had the same thought today. I put the mouth calls in my truck on Sunday. Can't wait to hear that first gobble and to see the first one flop. 8)

Re: National Championship game

With the increase in non-southerners in the state of Georgia the thUGA fan base has gotten more and more obnoxious. They have been riding on their high horse all year with the success they had in the very weak SEC east. The only team they beat all year was Notre Dame (until OU on Monday) and who rea...

Your skull mount is cool Stacey. The story that goes with it makes it that much better.
WDE anyway.

Re: Quick access handgun safe

I have the Gun Vault that has the 4 number access code, not biometric. This particular one mounts on the bedside dresser (or under a desk) and opens downward for a grab and go situation. It is pretty handy and even has an interior light that turns on when the door opens. $170 or so.

Re: Establishing Credit

I deal with this every day. Two things she needs to do. One, open a credit card. Use it sparingly, never charging more than 50% of the limit which is probably going to be $300 initially. Let it cycle each month and pay the balance off. After 6 months ask for an increase in limit and continue to use...

Re: In search of the Osceola

It was a successful few days in Central Florida. We came home with two birds and I have decided to mount mine. I don't have a full body turkey mount, so I figured this will be a good one to remember the trip with... http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac199/Cypress_Sniper/19131.jpeg http://i899.photo...

Re: In search of the Osceola

My buddy who lives there said that this time of year is typically foggy in the mornings, so the birds are not as vocal early. He said the afternoons might be more productive. Looks like the weather will be favorable, about the same as here maybe slightly warmer. He said they have been experiencing d...

In search of the Osceola

I'm headed to Central Florida next week, for my first Osceola hunt. I have a buddy from college that has a large cattle operation south of Orlando.

Any suggestions, other than snake boots, bug spray and a Therma cell for both hips?

How does an Osceola compare to hunting our hard-headed Easterns?
