Re: Daughter assault......six year later

Not only is it 4 girls but they are scattered from 25 all way down to 11. Those last two were supposed to be statistically very remote but that's a story for another day. The one thing I think I have learned from raising girls is that everything I say or do is being watched to some degree. They are...

Re: ASK DS: Need Recommendation on Sealer for Brick Pavers

I forgot...another option is just to put a good paste wax on it. Our showroom ( I sell brick) has a brick paver floor and has had the same coat of wax on it for 16 years and still looks pretty good. Shiny but not too shiny.

Re: ASK DS: Need Recommendation on Sealer for Brick Pavers

You'll have trouble finding both...a polyurethane sealer will make the colors pop but will leave you with that high gloss finish and will yellow with time and just look like you didn't bother to house train the dog. There is a company called Prosoco that makes all manner of cleaners and sealers. The...

Converting to solar power

I'm nowhere near doing it but am starting to look into converting my house to solar power and have heard about "pushing and pulling" where you basically sell your excess energy to the power company. Any one have any experience with this?

Re: Lawn mower trouble

It could be any number of issues to be honest. I'd start with fire, then test the fuel system. Does it die when increasing throttle without the blades engaged or only when it is under a load ? Give me some more info on the engine and mower (make, model, sn). Ferris IS 3200 series, 61", 27hp (m...

Re: Lawn mower trouble

Thanks. I bought the Seafoam but was cautioned against the same thing y'all said about loosening too much build up at once and loading the carburetor up with it so I decided against it. I was told I could "overdose" it with Stabil ethanol treatment and get the same effect but more gradual...

Re: Seen in Walmart on Saturday

I figure we'll see a bunch of "show offs" sporting their piece for everyone to see for a month of so and when they realize that, because of the commitment to working around your gun, it ain't all it's cracked up to be we'll be back to responsible CC'ers and staunch 2nd Amendment carriers.

Lawn mower trouble

Just got my mower back from the shop and everything they put on it must have been made of gold, so I'm not too excited about the prospect of taking it back. Hoping y'all might have some ideas. The mower runs great but unless I let it idle for a while before mowing engaging the blades kills the engin...

Re: Question For The Board

Have painted two liter soda bottles green on one end and tan on the other and used them to beef up a decoy spread. Seems to work just fine too. Have used large nails and hex nuts in place of decoy weights. Didn't build it myself but the first spinning wing decoy I ever saw was a diamond shaped piece...

Generator vs. Solar ?

I'm about to build a small shed/barn and I want to be able to run a couple fluorescent fixtures and 4-6 110 outlets for battery chargers and what not. I need opinions on best options and most bang for the buck on running power from the house (about 400' underground) vs a portable propane generator v...
