Re: Pocket Pistol

I've shot a little bit of everything through it with no real problems until the other day with hollow points. Planning to just use ball ammo from here on out. Could be a bad magazine or maybe a little limpwristing... Describe "limpwristing". I've got pretty big mitts and have trouble grip...

Re: Pocket Pistol

Ready to retire my LCP. Anyone carrying an LC9, Glock 42, or Glock 43 in your front pocket? What's the skinny on these guns? Why are you retiring the lcp? Wondered that myself. The 380 is not super impressive but holds its own at pocket gun range. I wish mine had sights but I can put a full mag in ...

Re: Any interest....

Mine is either in a Pelican case or my waterproof camera bag that has enough padding to serve as a little insulation. Even when it is a bluemillion degrees in the truck in the summer my gear seems to stay at a reasonable temperature. Have never had any trouble. I wonder, too, though what, if anythin...

Work, keep the wife happy, raise the kids, cut the grass, maintain my property, raise the kids, cut the grass.....little photography, whittling, and noise making on a guitar when I have time.

Re: Scary clown prank

Couldn't pull that prank ( or a Sasquatch prank) around here more than once or twice. Good way to get kilt. Yup, and the shot probably wouldn't be due to self-defense as much as bragging rights. I don't know...I've met some folks that would take a clown or a sasquatch straight to the taxidermist!

Re: Getting fat

I'm in the same boat and still struggle but for the last few years have been watching my calories and have lost around 25 lbs and kept them off for the most part. I still need to lose another 10 but if it comes off slowly I'm cool with that. I started out with an iphone app called Lose it. It helps ...

Re: Driveway Erosion Control Structure

Don't have any pictures but have done dry stacked field stone and even dry stacked brick. The small stackable retaining wall blocks from Lowes/Home Depot work really well too. If you're pretty handy at building forms a concrete headwall and inlet is probably best functionally but not quite as nice l...

Re: Building a house... Builder vs sub it urself

Price shopping subs is a good idea. You should ask to see their work though. Quite often, in my neck of the woods anyway, you REALLY get what pay for. Or, maybe more accurately, don't get what you don't pay for.

Re: Building a house... Builder vs sub it urself

Time wasted waiting on subs, "things I forgot", contractor gets a better rate from subs, contractor knows which subs give you the most bang for your buck, did abc first when it should have come after xyz so had to undo abc in order to do xyz then redo abc. That sort of thing. There are a b...
