I can only speak from my experience from a child and what I hope I will be like as a father one day. But, any loving father puts his son (or daughter) first and it makes him 100 times happier to see the child kill a limit (or even one) than himself kill ten limits. XPress, there were no youth weeken...

Would you suggest using a lead on a junior hunt test even though the dog never breaks. He has hunted with me the last two years and is pretty steady. Someone else suggested that I use the lead anyway because you don't want to take the chance on that ruining your chances. Thanks for the helpful advic...

Here it goes - I'm gonna have to say it and get something started!!! I have to disagree because the post is definitely WRONG!!! #15 should be MISSISSIPPI STATE instead of ole miss. Unless you mean that they don't wave unless they are in their home town - maybe that is what you meant!!!  :...

Big Lou, I've already gotten my premium for Magnolia's hunt test from your wife. I see where you are going to be judging the junior hunter. I am going to wait until I experience a couple of tests before I register because I am hoping to be in the senior hunter by then, but that all depends on how Dr...

Mid-South Hunt Test
I was just wondering if anyone here will be at the Sept. 27-28 hunt test in Collierville? It is going to be my first one. Hopefully, Drake will get a couple of Junior hunter passes with relative ease, but as soon as I say that he will make me look like a fool.

I am interested in having an AKC hunting retriever club around here. It is hard to train by yourself and even harder to find a good place to train. Ever since Mossy Oak's club dissapated, we haven't had a retriever club close by to my knowledge. I know Mossy Oak was UKC, but it was a nice place to m...

Gunner, You are in my prayers. If you are interested, a group of Christian men from about 7 churches and growing are meeting for lunch every Thursday. As of today, we started meeting at the Loading Zone (the old Coca-Cola plant) and will continue to meet there if the Lord is willing. We had about tw...

My "son" varies between a lean 84 lbs and a stocky 92 lbs. Drake is a handsome black lab of twenty-six months with a very good temperament - but don't mess with his duck or his dummy or you'll get on his bad side. If you give him a treat, he'll love you for life. He hogs the majority of the bed and ...
