I remember as a kid fishing Eagle Lake a lot and hearing about Halpino. Anyone know if its private or public? Boat Access from the levee? Just curious. If it offers public access, may run over there one day.

There is a catfish problem. But they catch a lot of them. The bass fishing is not as good as it once was, not because of the CF, but because several years ago there was a bad fish kill that killed a large majority of the big fish. They are working with a management company to get it back in balance ...

I watched a 5ft king snake slither into my wood pile the other day. I was shooting my bow in the back yard and walked up on him. Startled me at first, but when I realized it was a king snake, I thought..."go get 'em boy" He was hopefully headed into the wood pile after another snake.

I too waited a LONG time for my deer to come back from canton. And got attitude from everyone. And when I finally got it back, the link sausage was not edible. It was disgusting! And i got attitude from the owner about that. The summer sausage was fair but tasted weird.
