Re: Summer plots for deer

I hear ya. I'm in the process of over engineering my operation to make it more simple. Sounds legit....I'll report back with progress in November.

Summer plots for deer

I've did the RR forage soybeans last year. They did very well broadcast. Where did you buy the RR Forage beans? What brand? Hard to beat Eagle Large Lad. +1. I got mine through sanders. I'm sure if you ask around at local seed retailers someone can get them. Wingman, what's your opinion of lablab?

Re: Summer plots for deer

I've did the RR forage soybeans last year. They did very well broadcast. I started some clover 2 years ago and it is going strong. I am angling towards having a couple of perennial plots that don't need much maintenance through the year. Im trying to avoid the zero food plot time at the end of the s...

Re: Safety Reminder

Everyone should witness firsthand a clip of tracers at dusk. No more questions about ricochets after watching that.

Walnut Lumber

I have 3 walnut trees that are coming down for a house addition. The trees are roughly 50-60 years old, about 45-50' tall with trunk diameters around 36". Quite a few folks have said the trees are valuable for their lumber...but no one knows anyone interested in purchasing the trees. I am havin...

Re: Ask DS, stihl gas hedgetrimmer question

I got one. Dunno if it's the 18 or 22. Feels like a concrete block after about 10min. My dad got the motor where you can attach different heads. One of the attachments he got was the hedge trimmer. It beats the brakes of the handheld hedge trimmers. You also get a lot of reach. I enjoy trimming the ...

Re: THIEF!

Some a$$hat is running around with my brand new Stihl trimmer and blower. Probably the same sumbitch that stole my Honda generator.

The classic farm shop mid day sticky finger option. On another note I've got a backhoe and plenty of spots to dig a hole no one will ever find....

Re: Oh my god ........

Looks jam up. It will be interesting to see how the implementation plays out. Part of me says they will hold strong on the "traditions", but they may do the chip away method over time.

what's the largest spread you ever hunted over?

Dayum I'm behind the times. I fiddle around with 4-5 dozen. An adjustment here, case of beer there, some mediocre calling, a bucket of fried chicken, and we are having a fine time, might even play some white snake on the phone when the actions hot. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/03/myme2uqe.jpg
