Trade turkey hunt weekend for duck hunt weekend

My 15 year old son and I are interested in turkey hunting in Mississippi this spring. We can trade a duck hunting weekend on our farm next to Claypool Reservoir pit hunting in flooded soybean fields. Would like to continue for years to come if the birds are there. He is an experienced turkey hunter ...

Slow start for us next to Claypool. Hearing of of one pit nw of there that were killing a few. I knew going into last week that it was going to be slow. I was on the farm all week prior to season and hardly saw a duck.

I took a Cat tractor and disc and layed over 10 acres of willows this summer in a fish pond. I only layed over about 10 feet at a time with a 27 foot disc. Eventually I ran over the trees several times and have since leveled the pond. Most trees were 15-20 feet tall and no bigger around than 4 ...

Skuna, I did this year at about 8:1 ratio. Biologic's Biomaxx has 11% corn. The only thing is there latest maturing soybean is a 5.3 and not a forage type. I planted Big Fellow RR Forage Soybean and a Terral RR2/Corn Borer Hybrid. The later maturity, the better. This will allow for maximum forage ...

Soybeans, they are around 42-46% protein. Just can't pile them up, they will spoil. When broadcast, the deer eat every one. A lot cheaper too.

Few dollars higher than other Roundup Ready varieties, but you are getting nearly twice the plant for forage.

Scott Baker with Specialty Seeds in Brandon can fix you up on the price. The RR soybean seed out there today is mainly maturity group 4 and 5 for field production. The earlier the number, the earlier the leaves will fall off and the plant matures. If you plant the later maturity group 7, it will ...

SWAG,
It has Glycine Soja as one of the parents which is very similar to Quail Haven. As you know, Soja is the wild type of soybean that is viny.

RR forage soybean

If anyone is looking for a Roundup Ready MG VII soybean developed as a forage soybean for deer plots let me know. Side by side they look like normal RR soybeans until flowering. At that point, they continue to grow and put on biomass through the first couple of frosts. I am also working on a Roundup ...

I have been putting out about one mineral block per 10 acres over the past few years. I don't know if it is helping, but the deer sure are using them. I have about 150 acres located about 1/2 mile from a large WMA and try to do everything I can to hold deer. Before I bought the property from a ...

I was given an Encore muzzleloader for a favor. If I want a centerfire rifle barrel, I will have to buy the barrel and new forearm to fit won't I?
