the good news is that 90% of Coon Asses don't turkey hunt (at least not legally in the spring time).

Re: Move to Colorado?
If you can handle the cold weather then you should go..you will have to get use to March, April and even May being cold..Excellent big game hunting in Colorado, and you will be close to Wyoming which has alot of BLM land that will offer sage goat (antelope) and mule deer hunting..

Re: how to place mojo
Get the mojo with the remote..when you see ducks give them a few "flap" to get their attention then turn it off..Its seems that the continually spinning mojo seems to scare ducks these days

Re: Boise, Idaho.....anyone know about hunting out there
Excellent upland bird hunting in Idaho..alot of valley quail, few phez, huns, and chukars..also plenty of public land to hunt blue grouse and ruffed grouse...Turkey hunting is good too..however most turkeys are on private land

Re: New Job !! - and Need Info about Natchez/Adams County !
the Public land in the Natchez area is very crowded...unless you can hunt during the week I would not even bother..good news is that you should be able to find a lease..Duck hunting typically isn't that good because the birds rarely don't make it that far south..They do kill alot of ducks just south ...

I have a Garmin Vista..it works great..I even dropped it in water once..does a great job of helping locate "duck hunting spots" in the dark..

Re: Federal Quail Program
I am an avid bird hunter and most people don't agree with my opinion but here goes..Bobwhite quail hunting will never be any good in Mississippi..habitat improvement might help it slightly but I have traveled to other states that have so many more birds it aint funny..
