Re: SBE II issue, can't find parts
I have had the exact same issue and resolved it by option #3. I would recommend options 1 & 2 before trying option 3 though. Option 1) check tip of firing pin for damage. Option 2) make sure there isn't gunk/debris in the cavity of barrel where bolt rotates to lock. Option 3) clean under cap of ...

Re: Tagging ducks
Red do you truly believe that less waterfowl are harvested in the US because of the tagging law? I'm not talking bag limits or box turtles. I'm talking about the tagging of waterfowl requirement.

Re: Tagging ducks
I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I was a GW and wrote a ticket for birds not being tagged. What is the point other than giving a GW power to write a ticket at will. The law is written so loosely that just about any hunter can be ticketed on any given day. IMHO the law should have been put to ...

Re: AM I THE ONLY ONE????
So my question is...is it possible to collect hundreds of bands or are those guys with the loaded lanyards just frauds? I don't see someone from MS killing 100's of duck bands unless they are lucky as all get out. Someone from a state up north that has 100+ duck bands and hunts regularly near a fal...

Re: AM I THE ONLY ONE????
I have been at it for 14 years now and have seen 15 banded birds killed (2 double bands w/rewards and a neck collared ross). I have killed 2 mallards, 2 woodrows and a double banded blue goose myself. According to my log the ratio is about 1 in every hundred wood ducks and 1 in every 300 mallards. I...

Re: Gunsmith in N. Mississippi area
If you go to do it yourself, make sure that you buy the right one. There are two different threads depending on the year model of the gun.

Alex it looks like ole Suzie has added a little gray since I last saw her. I still remember her first hunt like it was yesterday. Good times man! Re: Mud motor
Kris the main problem that I see with running a tiller on a Jack plate under low water conditions in the Delta is stumps. Most places that I hunt with the water this low have mine fields of stumps just below the surface waiting to eat a lower unit up. If it weren't for that I would agree that a tunn...

Re: Help with duck ID...
Why were you shooting hens ? A man of your stature doesnt do such things ! Pintail/Gadwall Hen is my guess. Hens get in the way sometimes! That was just the hens for comparison. The rest were drakes  I'm starting to lean a little more towards pintail x gadwall now that y'all brought that up. ...

Re: Help with duck ID...
It came in with a drake gray duck so I'm leaning more towards a gadwall x mallard hybrid but it is tough to say being it is a hen. The bill looks like a gadwall hen except for the specks. Its my first hybrid either way and no I didn't kill it at Crossgates WMA ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
