Re: Buying ATV out of state

Vickers, There are only 2 things in life that you have to do. One is die, the other is pay taxes! I’m wondering why you wouldn’t title a purchase like that. Is it only to “attempt” to avoid taxes? I ask this because I don’t know (but I know you do)....can you insure it without a title? If so, what ...

Re: Buying ATV out of state

To yall that got popped by the state, did you try and title it? Seems that's where things get "alerted" to the MSDOR. I don't care to title it and don't have to. I have heard of the other states doing an audit and catching the ones that didn't pay sales tax and then they alert the state. A...

Buying ATV out of state

I am in the market for a new Polaris Ranger. There is a dealership in TN that is a good bit cheaper. I actually have to drive to north MS this weekend so its not that much out of the way. What makes it more even enticing than just the pure price is the sales tax. It is my understanding that if I pay...

Re: Nothing to talk about?

If any of y’all need a great, and I mean fantastic nights sleep, I have a Conex trailer made into a bunk room for a camp that is spray foam insulated and has 2 frigid window units. When you shut the doors it is 500% pitch black dark, has zero phone service, and when you crank those window units down...

Re: Governor Appointees

I think the biologists quit because the commission was cramming the baiting down their throats and going against their judgement and research. I think JLT nailed it as far as who should be on the board. A guy shouldn't be on a board because he owns a magazine, lives in Cleveland and is a member at D...

Re: Which governor candidate will be the best for Mississippi’s natural resources?

I think Justice Waller is a good man, and I am a Waller fan. I may eat my words later, but he is no Tater(see what I did there)? I do think Waller is a horrible debater and lets emotions get to him rather than convey his thoughts clearly. I think he needs to be more proactive in explaining his plans...

Tate's Finance chairman is adamantly against the backwater pumps, so there's that. I'm not voting for Hood.

Re: I don’t like this marketing.

Speaking on this, Warren Strain, the new “voice” of MDWFP recently had a little commentary and called us “their customers”. I guess as tax payers we are now their customers. Sits kind of funny to me. It’s gotten to be more of a business and not a resource. I can see the decline in hunting and why it...

I've almost let that slip in conversation, but used 870 with a turkey choke and TSS #6's. Then I got to thinking we don't need them meddling with turkey chokes and shotguns.

I don't know you, and no, I don't want to.

Speaking of Adrian, he's out butterfly collecting and catching bait fish or some such these days.

In case yall were wondering, he is still out there raking the coals over people and selling boats with bad motors and such. Heard so today. Does anyone else remember the story about him taking the kid out of baseball because it was hot outside? Anyway-I know, water is wet. That guy is a piece of wor...

Many can’t and won’t live in pain. ^^^Please let us know when this affects you.^^^ Not me but working in the medical field I see folks everyday that need it and a ton that abuse it. Lost a dear friend that was on this board because of chronic pain issues etc. My point was that the “crisis” ...

Re: MS Wildlife Extravaganza Boycott

Dan, You may or may not can answer this, and its really irrelevant, but with a high river at Vicksburg, say 52-3 feet, has anyone done a study on where the water would cover if there were no backwater levees? I'm just curious. I'm not saying they don't serve their purpose because 95% of the time, th...
