6 hunters in the timber
1 has a dog
Guess who all the birds go to??!!
What I do in this situation, is have 6 straps ready before the hunt begins.
As I receive the ducks from the dog, I immediately hang them accordingly on each person's straps. However, none of them are tagged ...

Re: GW stop today
Okay, let's take this a step further....

I then head home after the day three hunt.
Do I have to tag MY birds ...

Re: Turkey load question
I wish winchester would make extended range longbeards. That would be the ULTIMATE turkey load (IMO)
I have yet to see any shell outperform the longbeards.

Bottom line, get a tom within 30 ...

Re: specks
any body got a rec on speck call and instructional CD? I've tried before but getting the reed to "break over" was not easy --- I understand back pressure is key but it don't come naturally for me. We've got a ton of speck in our area and I "call" at them while we are duck hunting but there is ...

Do you have a retriever trainer (dummy launcher) by chance? Best tool I've seen/used for gun shy retrievers.

looking for hunting GPS app that wont run my battery down. I was hopeing to not have to buy another handheld..

Re: Is there an Iphone app that will repale the handheld GPS
The answer is yes and no.
As long as you have good service, you're good to go!
Are you talking about a driving GPS app or hunting?
I like the map loaded on the iPhone for hunting because a lot of the satellite images were taken in winter.
But, I also like motion X GPS.

Re: First dove hunt
My main advice is.....
LEAVE THE E COLLAR AT HOME!!!!!!!!
You're gonna do way more harm than good!
A dog needs to be pressure conditioned, then e-collar conditioned! The reason the dog has not taken well to it is because he doesn't know what the deal is. All he knows is, something just hurt my neck ...

If the crop has not headed out yet, you may spray it, cut it, whatever. But, if it has headed out you can not manipulate it.
