Re: Questions about Puppy food brands
I started my pup out on the regular Diamond puppy but it didnt sit real well with him I think it was because it was so high in protein and fat. I recently switched to Diamond Naturals large breed puppy lamb and rice and am very pleased and it's not as expensive as some of the other foods. It has no ...

Does anybody feed this food to their puppy. It looks like a real good food and reasonably priced. Just wanting to know if anyone has any experience with it.

I had read this post and asked him bout it and this is what he said, "use mortar sand it is made from ground limestone and fleas don't like it. As far as urine, he wets it down good daily and the urine is washed out. The wetting ...

Re: What age for hunting?
Thanks for the info! I have decided to wait on hunting my dog. The place I dove is at a friends camp and it is only a couple of people that hunt it so it's not crazy out there like some can be, but I'm gonna wait I don't want to mess anything up with my pup.

What age for hunting?
In a month I will be getting a lab puppy that was born around the middle of April. This would put the dog at 5 or 6 months for dove season. Is that to young to hunt a dog?

American vs British
Well, I may be getting a new lab puppy in the next few months and have been looking at different kennels which led me to the American and British breeds of labs. From what I have read about the British breeding is that they breed dogs that have the desired traits that they are looking for in a dog ...

Hold Conditioning
I am trying to train my lab myself and I am in the process of trying to teach hold. From a lot of what I have read and seen it involves telling your dog to fetch while sticking a bumper in his mouth and then getting him to keep hold of the bumper while saying hold and then give the drop command ...
