Because I don't call it fun to reach out to grab a frog and get hit by a forearm sized cottonmouth! That gig gives you the sport and the breathing room!

Yes eastwoods, I agree with you. People should keep their mouth shut unless they have some knowledgeable input to contribute. Thanks for the dove info, I am glad to know that. The duck situation I was referring to meant that I can't plant rice for ducks then bushhog or roll it before hunting. It ...

I looked all around for a good gig pole, and considered easy to come by alternatives, but finally came across a good find. We bought a retractable swimming pool net pole for 20.00. Perfect balance! I like the gig pictured above but ended up going with the b&m 3 and 4 prong gigs and two cases of cold ...

I'd say no on the gramoxone. The sunflowers have stopped growing by the time they reach the stage you are referring to and are beginning seed maturation. and this "burndown" chemical is for vegetative retardation, not like sodium chlorate or drying down sorgum fields for harvest. They might look ...

Its ok, 4 of the best college running backs on 1 team offers us quite a bit of options, not to mention our coaches and the rest of the team. Even if we do lose a game, we have been known to be very unfriedly, with great success, to loud mouthed opponent fans!

Sounds like mr. "brown top millet" man is quiet right now. If he knows what's best for him he'll stay that way! Unless he wants a little horsy horse on his computer.

If you make the trip through mobile I recommend peepee of the Walk. It's nothing extremely fancy but the food is great.

Snows, Blues, & Specks

Has anyone seen or hunted the large groups of snows etc. that come in to the sledge and marks area every year to hit the corn fields? We (our area) had so many geese last year that the ducks felt safe landing on dry corn fields. You don't see that much. How many geese put down where you hunt, and if ...

Best or favorite pits to buy?

We are looking for a quality pit to buy for about 3 men and a dog. If anyone could steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Planning to flood a corn field and put it in asap (we should harvest this field in time to set pit in (sep 1 est.)

GFB, Pm me I know some boys from down there. I found out I can't mow it now, but what I was talking about was bushogging it when the seed head was mature ( when it dries down) to scatter the seeds. I try to stay with the rules, however dumb this one is.
