Re: Rage broadheads
As for your beloved Bell curve. Most "modern bows" shoot at a fairly fast speed. That being said, a heavier arrow at nearly the same speed will have more kinetic energy than a lighter arrow. Its just math thats all. Well Issac Newton since your so good at "just math" you might w...

Re: Rage broadheads
Here is the Kinetic Energy Formula: ke=M * v2 / 450,240
Or you can let me punch your specs into this program and it will tell you the ideal gpi your arrows should be in order to maximize your kinetic energy.

Re: Rage broadheads
I 100% agree. Most of the problem is with the arrows. I want the heaviest carbon i can get just because I trust the straightness. If xx78's were as easy to come by as they used to be I might still be shooting them. But as it is I like the heavy carbons. Kinetic energy is everything when penetration...

Re: Bow tuning
It was the rest. It had moved toward the riser a little. Like I said in the very first post....... Could be the rest needs moved left or you're shooting arrows that do not have enough spine strength. See......y'all will start listening to the bald Albanian eventually.  I said the same t...

Re: Bow tuning
left= rest goes right........correct? Correct when walkback tuning.... Incorrect when papertuning... While papertuning....If your rest is too far in towards the riser (right handed bow) you'll get a left tear...as the string throws the back of the arrow it will throw the arow tailing left... It can...

Re: Bow tuning
Your centershot is off....need to papertune....and walkback tune.... Papertune: shoot a bare shaft preferably through paper at 6 ft. and make sure your arrow is not kicking left/right/up/down. Once you are shooting a good hole start a walkback tune. (Up=knock point high...Low=knock point low....righ...

Re: Arrow rest question
QAD is a primary sponsor of Waddell and all them...all they shoot is Hoyts....sounds like you need to see a new shop...
There is a few Hoyts throughout the years that pose a little hiccup, but it can be worked around...

Re: Arrow rest question
They make QAD adapter/rest for hoyt bows...so that the handle on the riser isn;t in the way
I had a hard time understanding your original post...are you saying there wasn;t enough adjustment on the rest?? or the handle on the riser wouldn't allow the drop away cord to be served into the cable??
