Re: picture preservation and restoration

Since nobody's responded, let me try a bit. Copy them first and foremost. Good quality digital camera, or scan 'em. Camera is a LOT faster. Make prints from the copies and preserve the originals by putting them in a dark (metal, plastic, or 100% rag) box in a climate-controlled environment. Do not ...

Re: Who has seen Sicko by micheal moore

It isn't a documentary, it's propaganda, one-sided and with an agenda. Don't believe for a minute that Moore is giving you anything close to the truth, the whole truth. You can tell when he's lying because his lips are moving.

1100 20ga.

I started her on an 870 12 ga. but it was knocking her pretty bad. She's tiny.

The 3" 20 ga. is about right for her.

Re: Who has decoys out all season?

I have, over the years, left decoys out all season. Depends on the situation and how you need to hunt it.

Stay off the porn sites and don't open every email you get - especially from folks you don't know and you won't get any viruses.

If there's any decoys out of place, (IOW, downwind) that can cause 'em to not finish well. Usually occurs when folks try to set decoys the way ducks sit on the water. Doesn't take more than a couple of decoys downwind to stop 'em from coming in.

Smoked three packs a day for . . . many years. Finally decided I wanted to become an ex-smoker. Put a patch on. That relieves the physical craving. The habits (hands, lighting, breathing that way you do when you smoke) were harder to break than the actual nicotine addiction. I used straws cut to the ...

Let me get this straight. If I put my name in the lottery and get drawn on the best blind on the place, then someone will offer me $15,000 to hunt it for the year. Or is that what it takes to pay off the person in charge of the draw?

It's illegal to "sell" a (Tenn. draw state) blind . . . but ...

Should have mentioned that I have owned both Garmin and Magellan; tested 'em side-by-side in a duck boat for most of a season. The Magellan won hands down. I just recently broke down and upgraded to the 500.

I've noticed in these discussions, folks who have used and/or owned both brands seem to ...
