GH22,
My buddy signed up for the forum under the name "Herrmen" but it doesn't look like he has ever been activated. Could you please activate his user name, or re-send the password info for him? I think the email address he used was dcherr [at] g mail [dot] com
Thanks.

Re: New York City do's and dont's
I second the advice about a Broadway show. Even if it's not your thing, find one you might possibly like, and you'll probably have a good time. Not sure if The Producers is running, but it's a funny show (Mel Brooks).

They really are great guns from what I hear from my bud, who has one. Don't shoot Hypersonics in it! Less than ten of those broke his breech bolt connecting rod.

Re: Beretta
There may be some mechanical changes Beretta aficionados will have to draw out, but the kick-off system is standard rather than optional, and has been redesigned so that when it compresses, it doesn't scrub your cheek.

Re: gloves
I got some Browning Maxus shooting gloves recently that I like. They're Gore-Tex, so waterproof, and they keep my hands a little warmer and much drier than the Under Armour thin gloves I was wearing before.

New Browning "A5" for 2012
While cruising around the Internet, I found this:

Re: What do you do to get "the spot"
Wake up at 2:30 AM to cook some biscuits and bacon for my buddies, whom I meet at 3:30. We then drive into the delta, about an hour from home. At 5:00 AM, we leave the parking lot on foot as 4-wheelers pass us. After they go on, we turn down the foot path to our spot. A mile and a half down the path ...

Just got a pair of Under Armour H.A.W. rubber/neoprene boots, and like them so far. Less slipping in the heel than others (like Mucks) I tried on.
