i got nice 5 and 7 points, both missing the left brow tine, the bigger one had scars on his neck liek a pro knife fights and a bloody hole thru his ear.
"I must've shot the brow tine off that 5-point!"

Re: importing deer law for MS
wasnt there a spread along the big black river (in madison county) that brought in some larger northern deer some time back (maybe decades) and fenced off their land with a nice expensive HIGH fence to keep them in, and then, as Mother Nature does, over time trees came down and busted the fence here...

Mr. Enos and the Eagle Feathers
I heard about this guy from a friend who's Uncle is a Judge in Arkansas. A Mr. Enos was apprehended by the authorities recently. He lives in the flatlands along a state hiway and as some Wildlife people drove past they noticed a pile of feathers blowing thru the man's yard, so they stopped and check...

Re: Ever seen this before?
we shot some woodies and gadwalls this morning, watched them crash through the ice, or try to and skip to a stop, but one woodie flopped down into a cane brake. Once we were rounding up our kill, one of us went to the thickets to find him. I saw a big bird fly out and light on a tree, it wasnt a duc...

Re: I Know your a Topwater if?????????
you might be a topwater if you play your duck call like a classic rock song or try to recreate the sound of your alarm clock WHILE ON THE HUNT! i have a "batty" friend with an uncontrolled sense of humor who will sit there and make $#!+ up on his duckcall... in fact he would hardly shoot a...

Re: Items the Complete Deer Hunter Should Have
most of my successful deer hunts included a grunt call, a rattle bag and a doe bleat (i usually make my own bleat like a calf call), and of course some cover scent or scent away... seems like everyone would take a knife, warm clothes, and binos (or scope)... might as well tell the guy to take a gun ...
